Corrupt documents will cause the conversion to hang and sometimes completely fail.

To check your documents you can use Corel's utility called: WPLook

Please follow these steps:

On the WordPerfect Document Converter menu click on Troubleshooting| Open WPLook

When WpLook (may appear as WP9 Restore) launches do the following:

Click on File|Open Navigate to the failed document, select it and click on Open.

The document will now be analyzed for corruption. Even if it does not report corruption click on Repair and follow the instructions, remember never to work on the original document but always a copy, you can replace a copy but you can never replace an original.

Note: It is best to repair the document three times Ensure that Repair Corruption is check, Remove Undo Information is checked and Remove Unused Styles is checked to ensure hidden corruption is removed.

Once you have repaired the document try to convert it again.
